Starting off the year a bit rough. But I'm confident I'll pull through. I have supplies for 7 kimonos. I'm in an online kimono kitsuke school...although I've yet to participate in a video class because my 10 year old yukata doesn't fit anymore and the furisode I made is more costume than authentic. I MIGHT be able to take it apart and try again but for now, I have a lot on my plate. So far I've made 2 juban and a yukata. I'm stitching together my first hitoe kimono. I made all my obi last week so I have 1 heko obi, 3 hanhaba obi and 2 nagoya obi.
I did make progress on my knitting and VN. I've finished programing Kichiro's route and more than half way done with Yuuto's route. I've got a system going now. I'll still need to make lots of art for it but I may outsource some of it. (Have to get a new job first. 😅)
Knitting wise, I finished my kyahan legwarmers and a blue striped belly-warmer. I'm working on my 2nd Demon Slayer sweater and still working on the Zelda one. Just cast on the sleeve.

Happy New Year!
This year I've resolved to try and not start anything I can't finish. The backlog is backed up and my attention is spread too thin. So priorities are being settled on and self-discipline. I'm also spending this year trying to get my space organized so I can maintain life better.
This month I intend to inventory my bookshelves which I have several so it may take 2 months. Then kitchen cupboards and the "craft corner".
Currently, I'm helping my church with a theater production in the costume department as well as being in the show. The stress is outrageous.
I really think that this year I'm going to dedicate most of my time to knitting and Trouble Brewing. I'd like those to be my focus for projects. I'll still be working on costumes too. My big costume project for this year involves puppetry. I'm excited to see how it falls apart. LOL.

It's been a productive 2022. I learned how to knit and have been chugging away at a Flame Hashira Shawl. I have a color chart available on my blog if another knitter wants to try it or improve it more likely. 😅 I've also illustrated a book for my nephew and I'm working on a 2nd book for my other nephew. Started yet another VN project and as always, working on costumes. For Halloween, I'm making a Wendigo costume to help use up some of my scrap fabric. And I'm planning on going to the Ren Faire in November.

Been awhile since I made a journal. I've been busy with my VN project mostly when it comes to digital art. I'm collaborating with my mom on a Christmas gift for my nephews featuring the Parrots I've been drawing. And man, Halloween is going to be here and my costume must be on point! I also want to do a Halloween game jam so little sidetracked with a small project.
One of the big things I started this summer was a new blog about my cosplay methods.
For anyone interested, you can find it at Modesty's Costume Closet.

So I have been making good progress on writing my VN. I'm half-way through the final route and then the real work begins. It can actually go into production of a kind since I'll know what resources I'll need for each route. It's exciting, but it's also a weird melancholy since I've been writing the routes since 2017. It's been such a part of my life and helped me deal with a lot of personal issues.
My passions for 3D-print have cooled, but I still need to print several things for my cosplays before I put the printer into storage in favor of my sewing machine for my next phase of costume projects.
