Description

I've been doing a lot of nostalgic work lately.

Over the course of 5 years, I created My Shining Knight. I finished it in December of 2006 the day I got my copy of Twilight Princess. Re-reading it several times...I wonder what people saw in it. :XD: It wasn't a good story, like at all. It didn't make much sense and really skipped around.

But I did spend a lot of time with the characters. I know them all very well now. I finished writing the online comic as a written novel. While it is better than the online manga, it's not a great piece of work by any means.

Anyway, back on the subject of this image. Antoine's look changed over the years and he aged. He started out a skinny lad...skinny enough to rival the Wart from Disney's Sword in the Stone. And he had "Auburn" hair.

2004 I reddened up his hair, but it's still in a very crappy anime style. I should mention this was a period I was using a Crow-quill pen. That means dipping ink children. It's a HARD medium.

2005...I just happened to find a good image. His hair is now RED. I have micron pens. But he's still a skinny anime boy. ;P Although, slightly meatier than before.

2006 something happened and Antoine gained both weight and muscle mass. He looks his age...which is suppose to be around 19 or so. I started moving away from crappy anime style.

2007 This...this is the first picture of Antoine I think I've drawn since 2006. At the end of MSK and in Dark Souls, Antoine has aged several years. He now is NOT in anime style. He also has a beard. :XD: I tried to give him an angular face as well.

I think I may do this for the main/favorite characters in the comic. This was fun.

It's cool to see how your style has evolved over all those years. I'm gonna have to try something like that with my characters. I know the style I used at the beginning of M&J looks absolutely nothing like how I do it now.

I'm totally checking out that Novel version of MSK as well.
