Projects 2024

Starting off the year a bit rough. But I'm confident I'll pull through. I have supplies for 7 kimonos. I'm in an online kimono kitsuke school...although I've yet to participate in a video class because my 10 year old yukata doesn't fit anymore and the furisode I made is more costume than authentic. I MIGHT be able to take it apart and try again but for now, I have a lot on my plate. So far I've made 2 juban and a yukata. I'm stitching together my first hitoe kimono. I made all my obi last week so I have 1 heko obi, 3 hanhaba obi and 2 nagoya obi. I did make progress on my knitting and VN. I've finished programing Kichiro's route and more than half way done with Yuuto's route. I've got a system going now. I'll still need to make lots of art for it but I may outsource some of it. (Have to get a new job first. πŸ˜…) Knitting wise, I finished my kyahan legwarmers and a blue striped belly-warmer. I'm working on my 2nd Demon Slayer sweater and still working on the Zelda one. Just cast on

Happy New Year! This year I've resolved to try and not start anything I can't finish. The backlog is backed up and my attention is spread too thin. So priorities are being settled on and self-discipline. I'm also spending this year trying to get my space organized so I can maintain life better. This month I intend to inventory my bookshelves which I have several so it may take 2 months. Then kitchen cupboards and the "craft corner". Currently, I'm helping my church with a theater production in the costume department as well as being in the show. The stress is outrageous. I really think that this year I'm going to dedicate most of my time to knitting and Trouble Brewing. I'd like those to be my focus for projects. I'll still be working on costumes too. My big costume project for this year involves puppetry. I'm excited to see how it falls apart. LOL. Major Projects Trouble Brewing VN production Projects for Loom Knitting book Goro Shoulder Puppet and yet another Kitsune costume

Projects 2022

To start, the most up-to-date stuff on my VN project can be found here: Trouble Brewing Wiki. For progress on my costume projects and just posts about costuming in general: Modesty's Costume Closet. It's been a productive 2022. I learned how to knit and have been chugging away at a Flame Hashira Shawl. I have a color chart available on my blog if another knitter wants to try it or improve it more likely. πŸ˜… I've also illustrated a book for my nephew and I'm working on a 2nd book for my other nephew. Started yet another VN project and as always, working on costumes. For Halloween, I'm making a Wendigo costume to help use up some of my scrap fabric. And I'm planning on going to the Ren Faire in November. Here's the current list of projects: Costumes Wendigo βœ… Unicorn Ren Faire Goro Polish Garb Knitting Flame Hashira Shawl βœ… Kitsune Cowl Flame Hashira Kyahan Flame arm warmers Demon Slayer Knee Socks Nezuko Belt Nezuko Kimono Blouse Digital Art Dinosaur Zoo Book βœ… Trouble Brewing

Happy Birthday Mary!

thank you for the llama ^_^
Thanks for the llama!
So, I'm really sorry if this is out of nowhere,
but I found your page by chance....
Looking up Saiyuki Artwork, and found one of our older pieces. Specifically the Son Goku as a cat.

But anyway, I don't know if this means anything but I remember seeing your work as a child, I was an anime fan back in my childhood and I don't know if it was your web page or someone else reposting your stuff...

But That is beside the point, the images were a bunch of anime characters as cats...

I remember the page very well and am certain it was your page I was. The name in the corner for the signature, and just the style as well.

I'm sitting here kind of floored.  Because I was 11 or so at the time... and I'm in my mid 25 now.

So I hope this wasn't weird to hear. But I'm very happy I was able to chance upon the person who made the very very fanart I ever saw and admired as a kid.

Hi hello!
And pardon the rambling this sounds odd. Just some things no matter how little, can stay with you for a long time.
